Dialogue + Design Associates is a multi-disciplinary, public-interest design firm that focuses on helping citizens, localities, and organizations build a stronger future through collaboration, architecture, environmental design and community planning. Dialogue + Design is a SWaM-certified, woman-owned business, based in Charlottesville, Virginia that was founded in 2005. Dialogue + Design Associates has led numerous consulting and research projects over the past thirteen years across our four focus areas. Christine Gyovai is the Principal of Dialogue + Design, which has two additional staff members and a satellite office in West Virginia. We work with individuals, organizations, and government agencies to develop consensus, collaborative problem-solving, and community-building through our facilitation, strategic planning, and collaboration services. We offer a complementary suite of services including:

With a focus on environmental design, we offer multi-disciplinary architecture services to private, commercial, and institutional clients built on building science, sound construction, and beauty. We work at multiple scales including residential, commercial, and industrial. In addition, we work with public and private clients to develop permaculture ecological design plans for urban, rural, and community sites, leading to increased self-reliance, resilience, beauty and regeneration. Finally, we offer professional illustration and rendering services as an integral part of our design and facilitation processes as well as select publications.
